Cell Block (CB) Workshop – European Cytology Congress 2026, Antwerp (October 4–7, 2026)
Join us for an interactive workshop dedicated to exploring and comparing diverse cell block (CB) preparation techniques used in cytopathology.
The session will include a review of CB preparation methods and an interlaboratory comparison of CB quality and cellularity (EQA). There will also be round-table discussions aimed at sharing experiences, evaluating performance, and promoting best practices.
Participant Options
Participants may choose one of the following modes of involvement. Please note that Options 1 and 2 require early registration due to pre-congress tasks, while observers may register during the standard congress registration period.

2. CB Cellularity Assessment Participants
- Participants will be asked to perform a retrospective assessment of CB cellularity using cases from their own laboratory from the previous year, following the provided instructions. Collected data should be submitted prior to the congress.
